IDAHO FALLS- Ninety-seven years ago Wednesday, the grand Titanic sank after colliding into an iceberg.
More than 1,500 hundred lives were taken that day. The Titanic exhibit at the Museum of Idaho commemorates the lives lost and the lives saved.
Wednesday night, the museum planned a tribute to honor the passengers and crew that lost their lives in the most famous shipwreck in history.
The commemoration included a moment of silence and the ship's bell rang.
Guests will also see more than 125 legendary artifacts taken directly from the bottom of the Atlantic.
"We were thrilled when we knew the exhibit was going to fall on that time frame of when the ship sank, we knew we had to do something. We really wanted to pay tribute to the ship and the people aboard the ship," Kelsey Salsbery, Museum of Idaho.
