WORLAND, Wyo. (AP) - The Washakie County Fair Board has agreed to require wristbands for anyone that appears to be under 40 and wishes to buy alcohol at this summer's rodeo, pig wrestling and tractor-pull events.
The board will require the wristbands for the three events and monitor how the system works before requiring wristbands at future events.
The board made the decision Monday in response to a proposal by the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition.
The board also agreed to restrict alcohol-buyers to two drinks per transaction.
Jessica Jackson of Washakie County Youth Alternatives says the two-drink limit applies to each visit to the beer stand. It doesn't mean attendees will be limited to two beers during the event.
