BAGGS, Wyo. (AP) - The Little Snake River is rising but dikes are preventing flooding in the town of Baggs so far.
The river was running high on Monday and authorities say they expect it to go even higher on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Harold Newbrough is Carbon County emergency manager. He says the high water isn't causing any immediate concern. He says that dikes constructed last year are holding back the water.
The National Weather Service has issued flood watches for Baggs and Savery as temperatures in the 80s are causing the rapid melting of snowpack in the Sierra Madre Range.
