CHUBBUCK - Officially open for business, the new Portneuf Clinic at Wal-Mart in Chubbuck started accepting patients Monday.
The walk-in clinic will be open seven days a week. You can see a physician assistant for everyday illnesses for around $55.
The Clinic at Wal-Mart will provide fast and affordable access to basic health care services like check-ups, immunizations, screenings and minor injuries.
If there is a line you can take a pager and shop while you wait. It's great for local people who need to get in and out.
"If you go to the pharmacist and say well what can I get for something and they think that maybe you need a prescription for whatever you want, and then they can send you over here. You can get right in and not have to leave and come back," said Charlynn Perkes, a physician assistant at the Clinic at Wal-Mart.
The Wal-Mart in Blackfoot is expected to open a clinic as well. They hope to be up and running in July.
