ROZET, Wyo. (AP) - Workers with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department have tranquilized and captured a black bear that had climbed up an electric utility pole near Rozet.
Gillette Game Warden Troy Achterhof says the 3-year-old male bear will be rereleased into the wild.
The Gillette News-Record reports that Achterhof says it wasn't clear where the bear came from or how it wound up near Rozet, just east of Gillette. He says the bear appears to be in good health.
After the bear was tranquilized, it shimmied down the 25-foot power pole.
