BANNOCK COUNTY - Construction will continue through Friday to replace a 59-year-old bridge in Bannock County. The Blaser Highway Bridge is about one mile north of Lava Hot Springs.
The bridge will be closed from 8am until 6pm Thursday and Friday so Idaho Transportation Department crews can drive piles in for the new bridge.
Detour signs are in place to direct traffic. The detour will add about 40 minutes of driving time through Lund and Bancroft.
Blaser Road will be opened each night. The construction on the bridge is expected to be finished by mid-October.
