Rocky Mountain Power Lowering Ashton Reservoir

Rocky Mountain Power has been doing some work on the Ashton Dam for the last two days.

Water has been released from the dam since Wednesday.  Thursday and Friday workers used sonic drilling on certain parts of the dam to see how things look on the inside.

Rocky Mountain Power says they're trying to develop maintenance and repair plan for the Dam.  The company says they realized in 2004 the dam needed closer inspection.   

A company V.P. says their evaluation will take time to complete.  Then Rocky Mountain Power will develop and implement a maintenance and repair plan for the Ashton Dam.
