TETON COUNTY, ID - A bicyclist was killed east of Tetonia near the Baler/50th W or Leigh Roads intersection on Highway 33 Tuesday morning.

Around 11 a.m., Idaho State Police said Neil Birch, 55, of Shelley, was riding toward Tetonia on his bike around the highway's bend when he, for an unknown reason, turned in front of a motor home.

Birch was taken to the hospital where he later died from the injuries he sustained in the collision.

The driver of the motor home, William Woodland, 73, of Clinton, Washington, was not hurt.

ISP said they are still investigating the crash but do not believe alcohol was a factor.
