SINCLAIR, Wyo. (AP) - Carbon County's road superintendent says construction of a $1.7 million bypass around Sinclair is ahead of schedule.
The project includes rebuilding part of an interchange on Interstate 80 on the west side of Sinclair and building a road around the town to reach the Sinclair Refinery and the Seminoe Dam Road.
County road and bridge superintendent Bill Nation said this week the project is about half finished.
The bypass is designed to relieve traffic on Sinclair streets by providing another route for trucks headed for the refinery and cars headed for the Seminoe Dam Road.
Funding came from the refinery, the state and the county.
