IDAHO FALLS - The Idaho Falls Greenbelt keeps getting bigger and that means you have more to enjoy.
Tuesday at a ground breaking, almost a half a mile was added on to the greenbelt at South Tourist Park.
The new section runs from the West Sunnyside Road bridge to South Tourist Park paralleling the Snake River.
It's not cheap to make the addition. It costs more than $100,000 with $65,000 coming from the Rotary Club.
"This is a gem of our town and we think it's very important. People especially now a days with their health consciousness enjoy getting out and enjoying nature," said Lorin Dixon, Rotary Club president."
The rotary's contributions are made from their annual Great Snake River Greenbelt Duck Race, which will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
