Associated Press - August 14, 2009 9:55 PM ET

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming authorities are investigating the deaths of deer and antelope that were shot and just left to spoil near Arvada and Buffalo.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says a doe deer and buck antelope were found shot July 31 and three other deer were found shot Aug. 6.

Game Warden Troy Achterhof says nothing was removed from the carcasses.

A cash reward is offered for evidence leading to the arrest and conviction of people shooting a big-game animal out of season.

People with information can call the Game and Fish office in Sheridan at 307-672-7418 or the Stop Poaching Hotline at 877-WGFD-TIP (877-943-3847).
