Driggs Teen Falls from Cliff in Teton Canyon

DRIGGS - A Driggs teen suffered serious injury after he fell from a 20-foot cliff while hiking in Teton Canyon Wednesday afternoon.

The seventeen-year-old Driggs resident was hiking with his mother up a steep gully on the side of the canyon when, according  to reports filed with Teton County, Wyo. Search and Rescue, he slipped on wet rock and fell off a rock ledge. He was picked off the canyon wall by a Park Service helicopter sent from Grand Teton National Park, which carried him in a litter to the Teton Canyon trailhead where he was transferred to an EIRMC helicopter and transported to the hospital.
