SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands has started the process for a review of possible changes to the Great Salt Lake Comprehensive Management Plan.
The current management plan was approved nearly 10 years ago. It spells out the activities and research that are permitted at the lake.
Division officials are revisiting the plan to see if any changes are needed. The division is in the process of publishing a request for proposals for a review of the plan.
Because of the process, no new applications will be accepted for surface or mineral uses on the Great Salt Lake.
