WORLAND, Wyo. (AP) - The Washakie County Commission has endorsed the broad terms of a lease agreement designed to keep the headquarters of a growing technology company in Ten Sleep.
The lease agreement is with Eleutian Technology, which specializes in providing English language instruction to students in Asia via the Internet.
The proposed lease agreement approved Tuesday requires the county to back a state grant request for up to $3 million to build a new headquarters for the company. When construction on the new 10,000-square-foot facility is complete, the county would then lease it to the company for an average of $3,750 per month over 12 years.
Executive director of the Washakie Development Association LeAnn Baker says the county vote doesn't ensure Eleutian will keep its headquarters in Ten Sleep.
