Associated Press - September 29, 2009 1:05 PM ET

RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) - Democratic state representatives have selected a new House minority floor leader.

Rep. Patrick Goggles of Ethete (EE'-thuh-tee) was elected Saturday in Riverton.

The House minority floor leader position had been held since late last year by Saundra Meyer of Evanston. Meyer vacated the position after she was appointed to fill the open state Senate seat created by the resignation of Ken Decaria.

Goggles has been a member of the Legislature for four years. He previously held the position of minority whip.

Rep. Mary Throne of Cheyenne was elected to fill the minority whip post.

Rep. Lori Millin of Cheyenne will continue serving as House Democratic Caucus chair.
