CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The defense attorney for an elderly man accused in a drunken driving crash that injured two people says his client has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.
Senior Assistant Public Defender Kurt Infanger says 71-year-old Maurice Jepson has agreed to plead guilty to aggravated assault, driving under the influence causing serious bodily injury and two counts of reckless endangering. In exchange, prosecutors are expected to dismiss two other charges and ask for up to 12 years in prison.
Jepson's change of plea hearing has been scheduled for later this month in Natrona County District Court.
Jepson is accused in a May 20 crash that seriously injured a woman and an 11-year-old boy.
