CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A coroner has determined that the deaths of 2 people killed in a house fire at the base of Casper Mountain last month were accidental.
Natrona County Coroner Connie Jacobson issued reports Monday in the deaths of 65-year-old Edward Balben and his 89-year-old mother, Marion Balben.
Jacboson says Edward Balben died of smoke inhalation during the Sept. 13 blaze, while the mother died of cardiac and respiratory complications after being taken to the hospital.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire, which started in the early morning and ultimately destroyed the one-story home.
