GOODING, Idaho (AP) - A judge has ordered a Gooding man to serve at least five years in prison for his role in an execution style shooting nearly two years ago.
Jesus Valencia-Bolanos, 26, pleaded guilty in July to involuntary manslaughter in the death of Gustavo Flores Quintana. Quintana was shot in the back of the neck Nov. 8, 2007, and his body was left near a gravel pit near Gooding.
Valencia-Bolanos is 1 of 2 convicted in the slaying.
Carlos Alberto Villanueva-Martinez Jr., was convicted by a jury in February of grand theft for stealing Quintana's car.
But Gooding County Prosecutor Calvin Campbell did not specify who was responsible for pulling the trigger. Campbell tells The Times News the case was difficult because both suspects blamed each other for shooting Quintana.
