CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The Small Business Administration is making disaster loans available to some small businesses in eastern Wyoming counties that were affected by storms and grasshopper infestations this year.
The agency announced Monday that small, non-farm businesses in Niobrara and Weston counties are eligible to apply for the low-interest loans.
The loans are also available in multiple counties in South Dakota and North Dakota.
Administration official Alfred Judd says the loans are meant to offset economic impacts on businesses that depend on farmers and ranchers that have suffered agricultural production losses.
The loans of up to $2 million have an interest rate of 4% and a maximum term of 30 years.
