BANNOCK COUNTY - Idaho State Police said they took a Blackfoot woman into custody for leading officers on a chase through southeastern Idaho.

Leatha Greeson, 61, was stopped by ISP near milepost 7 in Oneida County around 4:10 p.m. For an unknown reason, the officer said the woman drove off heading north, and the trooper started chasing her.

Spike stripes were put down on the interstate at milepost 72 near Chubbuck which allowed police to take the woman into custody.

Greeson is facing resisting and obstructing officers and eluding charges.

ISP is still investigating.
