Eleutian drops bid for Wyo. Business Council grant

Associated Press - October 22, 2009 5:15 PM ET

WORLAND, Wyo. (AP) - Eleutian Technology has dropped its application for a Wyoming Business Council grant that would have helped the company build a new headquarters in Ten Sleep.

Spokesman Brian Holiday said Wednesday that the requirements of the application had become too expensive.

He says the Business Council wanted the company to drill a water well and test water at the proposed expansion site as part of the application.

Eleutian provides English language instruction to students in Asia via the Internet.

The company had been working with the Washakie County Commission and Washakie Development Association in pursuit of a $3 million Business Council grant to build a new 10,000-square-foot office building and teaching center in Ten Sleep.
