BONNEVILLE COUNTY - A Ucon man with an extensive history of burglarizing businesses is sentenced Thursday for breaking in the Ucon Post Office this summer.

But he's not done. He will be back in court later this year for another theft allegedly committed while he was on house arrest.

Joe Dee Stang will serve a heavy sentence ordered by Judge Jon Shindurling at the Bonneville County Courthouse.

Shindurling said because of Stang's long history of criminal activity, he will serve three to ten years in prison.

Stang pleaded guilty to kicking in the door of the US Post Office and stealing cash, stamps, money orders and even the money order machine.

He also says he chained up his mothers car to an ATM at Country Corner in Bonneville County to steal money.

Stang will be back in court in December to face a charge stemming from a dispute with his brother over a trailer.

He is charged with petit theft in that crime. He pleaded not guilty.
