ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) - More than 85 law enforcement officers and prosecutors from around Wyoming gathered in Rock Springs this week for a 3-day seminar on gangs.

Sweetwater County Undersheriff Craig Jackson says gangs have established themselves all over Wyoming.

Jackson says effective networking and cooperation among law enforcement agencies is essential in handling gangs and gang-related issues. He says that's why he hopes the conference will become an annual event.

The conference drew gang experts from a variety of jurisdictions in Wyoming and elsewhere.
