Lieutenant Governor, Brad Little, announced he will be running for re-election Friday.

An official announcement was made at the Bonneville County Courthouse as a group of elected officials, family members and friends watched.

Little was appointed lieutenant governor in January 2009 after serving as Majority Caucus Chairman in the senate.

"As your lieutenant governor I want to continue working to facilitate opportunities for Idahoans. Idaho Falls is ground zero for some big changes that are taking place in this world," Little said.  "Every time I visit the lab or CAES I'm always amazed at how Idaho Falls is on the cutting edge of the future."

Little also announced his candidacy in Boise and Coeur D'Alene.
