CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Grand Teton Lodge Company has settled a lawsuit in which relatives of 3 people who died in a 2006 rafting accident on the Snake River claimed the company was negligent.

U.S. District Judge Alan Johnson of Cheyenne announced the settlement on Friday to a trial jury that had been hearing the case for the previous two weeks.

A lawyer for the lodge company says the parties agreed to keep the settlement confidential.

John and Elizabeth Rizas, of Beaufort, S.C., and Linda Clark, of Shreveport, La., died when the raft they were riding in hit a snag and ejected them, their guide and nine other passengers into the water in June 2006.
