BONNEVILLE CO. - We're getting down to the wire. Elections begin Tuesday, and on Monday night candidates gave it their last and final push.
With just one day to go, local candidates were not wasting any time.
"We're willing to get out and go door to door if that's what it takes," said Ammon City Mayor candidate, Steven Fuhriman.
"Just so hopefully people will vote for her and not the opponent," said husband of Idaho Falls City Council woman, Larry Hardcastle.
Last minute campaigning isn't a matter of procrastination, more of a last push to get voters out.
"The last 72 hours are the most important hours of the entire election," said son of Ammon Mayor candidate, Ben Fuhriman.
"It's the last chance, we gotta make it happen today or it doesn't happen," added Steven Fuhriman.
Steven Fuhriman is running for Mayor of Ammon. He made campaigning a family-affair.
"I hope people read it, I hope people have a chance to see who my Dad, who Steve Fuhriman is," said Ben Fuhriman.
In passing out fliers on Monday, Fuhriman is hoping more voters will show up on Tuesday.
"Oh I'm hoping it gets another 10 percent of the voters to come out."
The same goes for Ida Hardcastle, running for Idaho Falls City Council, enlisting the help of her husband.
"It's something you need to do as a spouse," said Larry Hardcastle. "We've been married over 50 years so we do everything together."
This last push is a popular idea amongst local candidates.
Two candidates running for Ammon City Council, Brad Christensen and Sean Coletti, spent their Monday evening out and about, going from house to house, knocking on doors to get those last few voters out to the polls.
All the candidates hope this hardwork will pay off come Election day.
