PROVO, Utah (AP) - The National Transportation Safety Board has released a preliminary report in a small plane crash last month in Utah County that killed a 30-year-old man.
The NTSB released the report Monday. It says the weather was clear, no one saw any strange maneuvering from the plane and there were not normal signs of distress like a smoke trail.
Benjamin Hill, of Springville, was killed Oct. 21 after the Cessna he was piloting lost power on a flight between Spanish Fork and Provo and crashed just short of the Provo airport runway.
Hill was a student at Utah Valley University's aviation science program. He was also an adjunct instructor in the program. He was not flying a UVU plane.
The investigation is ongoing and the plane is still being examined.
