CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Former Western Medical Associates Chief Executive Officer Richard S. Blauvelt is suing the family practice, saying he was shorted nearly $110,000 owed under his employment contract.
Blauvelt filed the lawsuit in Natrona County District Court last week, contending that he was fired without cause and is owed the cash under his employment contract.
Attorneys for Western Medical have yet to file their response in court.
The former executive also has an ongoing lawsuit against Wyoming Medical Center, another former employer. He filed that lawsuit in January 2008, contending the hospital breached its contract with him when it fired him the previous fall.
Attorneys for the hospital contend there was just cause for his dismissal and that he was still in the probationary period of his contract when he was fired.
