BLACKFOOT - A local woman in Blackfoot is hoping to make the holidays a little brighter for the troops overseas.
Teresa Sanchez owns Mudslingers, a coffee drive-thru stand. From now until November 30th she is collecting any monetary donations to help send fresh ground coffee to the troops for the holidays. In just a week Sanchez has collected just over $100.
At the end of the month all the money collected will be used to buy coffee beans from the distributor Sanchez uses for her business. Once the beans are bought, Sanchez will ground them, package them up and send them overseas.
"It is something fun to do. Support our troops and I’ve heard that they have really crummy coffee and it is kind of a treat for the holidays,” said Sanchez.
If you'd like to help Sanchez out with mailing the coffee or you'd like make a donation to help send coffee to the troops overseas, you can stop by Mudslingers in Blackfoot. It’s in the old Ridley's parking lot on Spruce Street.
