LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - A junior college wide receiver has verbally committed to Wyoming.
Mazi Ogbonna says he will transfer from Snow College in Utah.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Ogbonna visited the UW campus over the weekend.
Ogbonna says he liked the overall atmosphere at Wyoming and believes the football program is on the rise.
So far this season, Ogbonna has caught 32 passes for 678 yards and eight touchdowns in helping Snow College to an overall 9-1 record and a share of the Western States Football League crown.
Ogbonna was born in New York although his parents are native Nigerians. He played his prep ball at Hicksville High School in Westbury, N.Y.
The Cowboys now have 13 verbal commitments for their 2010 recruiting class.
