BLACKFOOT – A group of business owners in Blackfoot are banding together to help those in need this holiday season.

Bingham County Chiropractic along with Complete Family Eye Care and the Animal Health Clinic are all located in Blackfoot and have joined forces to collect canned food and other non-perishable items for those in need.

All of the food will then be donated to the Southeastern Idaho Community Action Agency (SEICAA).

So far, officials with the food drive say donations have been very generous, and they hope it continues that way.

“The more people that donate, the more people we can help so we always encourage people to support the needs of the low-income population of Bingham County,” said Bobette Jackson with SEICAA.

The canned food drive lasts through the end of the week.

SEICAA says they have seen a 30 to 40 percent increase in their requests for food boxes, so they ask anyone with food to give generously.
