CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A judge has ordered that a Bar Nunn man facing 35 child molestation charges get a mental evaluation to determine if he is competent.
Thirty-9-year-old Warren Jay Crawford is accused of molesting eight children over a five year period. He faces the possibility of multiple life sentences if convicted of the charges, which include eight counts of first-degree sexual abuse.
Public Defender Tim Cotton asked that his client be evaluated during a Natrona County District Court hearing Tuesday, saying Crawford was involuntarily hospitalized the week before.
Judge Thomas Sullins granted the request.
