IDAHO FALLS - Firefighters quickly contained a small fire to one room at Lincoln Court Retirement Community in Idaho Falls.

The fire was reported just before 11 p.m. Thursday at the complex located on Lincoln Drive near 9th Street.

The fire created a lot of smoke in the back side of the building.  When firefighters got to the floor with the apartments, they told residents to stay in their rooms while they cleared out the smoke.

A few residents were brought to the lobby to be checked out by medical crews, but firefighters say there were no injuries in the fire.

Early reports show the fire may have started with a heating unit. Fire officials will be investigating to find the cause.
