IDAHO FALLS - A strong voter turnout for Idaho Falls School District #91 didn't help the $84.5 million bond pass.
Long lines formed at some precincts just before the voting closed. In the end 3,357 or 56.33 percent voted in favor of the bond, while 2,603 or 43.67 percent voted no. The district needed a super majority vote to pass the bond.
If the bond would have passed, the district would have used the money to rebuild four schools, and build an entirely new school.
