IDAHO FALLS – Some experts believe the rush for the H1N1 Swine Flu vaccine may be dying down a bit around the country.
Based on the turnout for the H1N1 clinic at Skyline High School Saturday, though, one would think demand for the vaccine is higher than ever.
Hundreds were already in line early Saturday morning hoping to receive one of the 5,000 vaccines provided by the Eastern Idaho Public Health District.
"We aren't surprised by the turnout, especially with the holidays here and more people are traveling and interacting with each other," said Richard Horne, Director of the Eastern Idaho Public Health District.
Many of the previous clinics in Eastern Idaho had run out of the vaccine, but this clinic actually had a surplus.
Of the 5,000 vaccines available, just over 4,000 were given out.
"There are still a lot of people who really want the vaccine, and I'm glad we can provide it for them," said Horne.
