CHUBBUCK - The story is much the same when it comes to the H1N1 vaccine at the Pine Ridge Mall in Chubbuck. Over 1,000 folks so far have turned out to get the vaccine there.
The line was moving steadily Saturday afternoon. Some of the first people got in line at 11:30 a.m. for the clinic which started at 2 p.m.
There are a total of 2,200 vaccines available to the high risk groups of those that are pregnant, those that live with or take care of infants, people ages six months to 24 years and those that have high risk medical conditions.
Local people say they're waiting in line to get the H1N1 vaccines just to be on the safe side.
"Especially for my children. You hear all these cases of children getting really sick. It was more important to me for my kids than anything. Where I have one child in school, you just don't know what is out there going around," said Emily Melick, who is pregnant and received the H1N1 vaccine.
The H1N1 vaccine clinic continues at the Pine Ridge Mall in Chubbuck until 8 p.m. Saturday night or until all 2,200 vaccines are gone.
