Parker Woman Dies In Two-vehicle Crash Saturday

FREMONT COUNTY – A deadly crash near Island Park claimed the life of a Parker woman Saturday morning.

Charles Hanson, 42, of Chester, was driving east on Highway 20 in a 2005 Ford van. Rex Allen, 58, was in the front passenger seat and five children, ages 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16, were riding in the back.

Idaho State Police said just after 10 a.m. at milepost 383.8 Hanson lost control and collided with a 1997 Toyota pickup heading west on the highway.

Jack Reinwand, 70, was the driver of the truck. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. His wife, Jeanne, 66, was in the passenger seat. Police said she died at the crash site.

Hanson and the children were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries; Allen declined medical attention.

ISP said seatbelts were worn. The crash is still under investigation. Fremont County Sheriff's Office, fire and emergency medical services assisted with the crash.
