WRIGHT, Wyo. (AP) - Mourners remembered the sacrifice of Army Staff Sgt. Ryan Zorn as the Wyoming soldier was laid to rest.

The Gillette News-Record reports that more than 300 people attended funeral services for Zorn on Tuesday.

Zorn died last week in a vehicle rollover in Iraq. The 35-year-old communications expert was serving his third tour of duty in Iraq.

Brig. Gen. Tom Cole posthumously awarded Zorn a bronze star medal for meritorious service. He praised Zorn for his honor, courage, integrity and passion.

Zorn joined the Army after graduating from Upton High School and served nearly 16 years.

U.S. Sen. Mike Enzi of Wyoming and Gov. Dave Freudenthal were among attendees at the Tuesday service.

After the funeral, Zorn was buried at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, S.D.
