CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Gov. Dave Freudenthal will unveil his state budget recommendations for the coming 2-year funding cycle this week.
Freudenthal plans a press conference on Tuesday to discuss his recommendations for the 2010-2012 biennium.
Freudenthal has warned that state funding will be tight in the face of declining state energy revenues.
The state's Consensus Revenue Estimating Group last month trimmed its estimate of revenues the state of Wyoming will receive in the coming 2-year budget cycle by more than $380 million.
The CREG group in May reduced its forecast of state fund revenues for the coming 2-year budget cycle to $3.2 billion from $3.8 billion it had forecast in January.
