A Pocatello teenager who was going to be a senior in the fall at Highland High School, is dead after the truck he was riding in rolled in Inkom Friday night.

Idaho State Police Troopers say around 6:30 p.m. Friday night, 19-year-old Levi Lish of Soda Springs, was driving his Ford Ranger truck south on Old Highway 91 behind a van.

The van slowed down to make a left hand turn.  Troopers say as the van was turning, Lish passed it on the left and went off the left shoulder of Old Highway 91.  Lish overcorrected, came back across the road, went off the right hand shoulder, rolled through two fences before finally coming to a rest in a pasture.

Both Lish and his passenger, Mason F. Collins of Pocatello, were ejected from the truck.  Troopers say neither were wearing seatbelts.

Collins died at Portnef Medical Center.  Troopers say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.  The crash is still under investigation.

Collins and another teen, Kord Peterson who recently past away in a drowning accident, both attending Highland High School in Pocatello.  Highland High plans to have counselors available for students and other community members Monday morning, July 28, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Highland High at 1800 Bench Road in Pocatello.
