BANNOCK COUNTY - The Bannock County Sheriff's Office found the owner of the dozen dogs they rescued a week ago.
Robert Ives, 52, previously of Inkom was charged with 13 counts of animal neglect.
The Sheriff's Office served him with a summons and complaint over the weekend.
Ives abandoned 12 canines inside a residence on Indian Creek Road.
The home when the animals were found was in shambles and the dogs were not cared for and were taken to the Pocatello Animal Shelter.
With the owner's permission, the animals were all adopted over the weekend.
"They go in tomorrow and Wednesday to Alta Animal Hospital for spays and neuters and then they're all gone so which is really a good thing," said Mary Remer, Animal Control Director.
Ives is scheduled to be arraigned on these misdemeanor charges on February 19th.
