CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Democratic Party has elected new officers, including former Teton County Commissioner Leslie Petersen as state party chairwoman.
Petersen replaces Cheyenne ophthalmologist John Millin in the state party's head position.
Petersen says her top priorities will include spreading the Democratic Party's message and finding top quality candidates for elected office.
The Democratic state central committee chose its leaders in Casper on Saturday.
Also elected was Mike Bell, of Cheyenne, as party vice chairman; Linda Barton, of Lander, as secretary; and Chuck Herz, of Jackson, as treasurer. Herz was re-elected but the other three are new to their positions.
