Former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin is back on the trail.

No, not the campaign trail; but one to promote her already best-selling novel.

Tuesday, Palin's "Going Rogue: An American Life" hits book shelves across the nation.

She was on Oprah Monday afternoon and returns to the spotlight with some controversy.

The book is supposed to be a political memoir detailing what happened behind-the-scenes of Palin's 2008 vice presidential campaign.

But some people in eastern Idaho are wary of her comeback saying she's capitalizing on her fame.

But, this time she isn't saying much when it comes to running for office again.

“It's not on my radar screen. Oprah, what I'm finding clearer and clearer is everyday you don't need a title to make a difference,” explained Sarah Palin on the Oprah Winfrey show.

But, she is talking about the ups and downs of last year's campaign.

“I don't think I was to blame for losing the race anymore than I could be credited with winning the race had I done a better job as the VP candidate,” Palin said.

Locals go back and forth about Palin some saying she's using her fame to cash in on a fortune.

"I think she's trying to capitalize as much as she can on her 15 minutes of fame when she ran for the vice presidency. Absolutely I think she's using that to her advantage, some quick and easy money," said Tony Monroe, who doesn't agree with Palin.

Others believe she needed more experience before helping to lead the nation.

"A year and a half of governor of Alaska and 8 years of a mayor of a town smaller than this, smaller than Idaho Falls, doesn't qualify her," said Sean Miles, who believes Palin isn’t qualified.

And some say she has it together and has something to offer.

“I think that she really has been through a lot and she went through a lot with her life and her family. I haven't read her book but I think she probably has a pretty good story to tell,” explained Wendy Monroe, who supports Palin.

But when it comes down to it, who's really buying in?

"Do you think you're going to pick up the book?” asked Danielle. “Probably not,” said Victoria Loveland.
