Local News 8 Helps Raise Money for Salvation Army

Posted:

Updated:

The Local News 8 team led by Jay Hildebrandt and Karole Honas put on the infamous red aprons and rang the bell for the 2009 Salvation Army kettle season Nov. 16 - 19.

The red kettles won't be popping up until the day after Thanksgiving, but Local News 8 wanted to give them a boost.

Our crews set-up shop and braved the cold in front of Fred Meyer in Idaho Falls and Pocatello.

Every dollar donated went the Salvation Army to help those in need.

This is how our team did:

Crew Amount Collected
Local News 8 Morning Crew Emily Clark, Justin Betti and Mike Coats (Monday)  $256.73
Local News 8 Sports Anchors Scott Bemis & Alyssa Chin (Tuesday)  $300.00
Local News 8 Anchor Karole Honas and Chief Meteorologist Jamie Kagol (Wednesday)  $484.06
Local News 8 Anchor Jay Hildebrandt and Bureau Chief/Reporter Genevieve Judge (Thursday) $219.65
Total Collected  $1260.44

Thank you everyone for your donations!
