POCATELLO – An accident has slowed traffic on Interstate 15 near mile marker 60, just north of the port of entry. One lane of south-bound traffic is closed. Bannock County Search and Rescue is responding.

According to police, the man lost control of his Chevy Aveo and rolled. Consequently, he was trapped in his car.

Emergency crews had to extricate him. The driver was then taken to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello with injuries, but he is talking and is alert.

No one else was in the car. The man was headed to Soda Springs.
