CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A 58-year-old Casper man who sexually abused a 7-year-old girl has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Glenmore Edward Heath must serve at least 20 years before he is eligible parole. He was sentenced Friday in Natrona County Court.
Judge Scott Skavdahl says the sentence is appropriate because society needs to be protected from Heath.
Authorities say the victim's family opened their home to Heath and he watched cartoons with the girl.
Assistant District Attorney Joshua Stensaas says cuddling eventually turned to abuse in 2008.
The victim's mother testified that her daughter already has difficulty trusting people.
