Cooler windy weather expected for Wednesday thanks to a cold front moving in from the Northwest.

By Thursday, we'll see some clearing in the Snake River Plain, though moisture will linger into the mountains and highlands, causing some isolated showers to pick back up in our forecast.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm in the Snake River Plain. WINDY after mid morning, with gusts over 45mph.  High temperatures into the lower 70's.

Wednesday Night: A few lingering thunderstorms with clearing overnight. Overnight valley lows around 37°.  Breezy, with a south southwest wind 15 to 25 mph decreasing to 5 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. 

Thursday:  Sunny, with a high near 66. South southwest wind 8 to 18 mph.

Thursday Night:  Mostly clear, with a low around 39. Southwest wind 8 to 11 mph becoming south southeast after midnight.

Friday:  Sunny, with a high near 68.

Friday Night:   Mostly clear, with a low around 43.

Saturday:  Sunny, with a high near 72.

Saturday Night:   Mostly clear, with a low around 43.

Sunday:   Sunny, with a high near 74.
