Jay was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and lived there throughout his childhood and high school years. He got his first broadcast training at Brigham Young University where he was a news anchor for both KBYU-FM and KBYU-TV.

Todd returns to Idaho and joins Channel 3 Eyewitness News from KVOA News 4 in Tucson, Arizona where he was the weekend weather anchor and weekday reporter. Prior to that, he was also a morning anchor and weathercaster for KVOA.

Jessica joined the Local News 8 team in December 2010. A sixth-generation Texan, Jessica left her home state after high school to attend Brigham Young University on an academic scholarship.

Stephanie Hale-Lopez joined the Local News 8 team as a reporter in February 2012. Stephanie comes to Idaho Falls from Lewiston, where she worked at KLEW-TV as the Palouse Reporter and pioneered the station’s Palouse News Bureau in Moscow, Idaho.

Karole was born and raised in Gooding, Idaho. This makes her one of the few "born and bred" Idahoans in local television. Sometimes she thinks this gives her a bit of an edge since she knows and understands Idaho issues.

Kylie Bearse joined the Local News 8 team in June 2011 from Colorado, where she studied at the University of Colorado at Boulder and received a B.S. in Broadcast News and a certificate in International Media.

Michael comes to Local News 8 from the Southern California desert. Born and raised in the small community of Hemet, Michael went on to attend college at California State University Northridge. Michael then studied meteorology at Mississippi State University.
