IDAHO FALLS, Idaho - Men tried on heels today for a good cause. They are getting ready for the "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" event.
This is the 11th year the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center has hosted this. All proceeds go to victims of violent crimes.
They say it's important to raise awareness for this serious issue.
"On a social level, we need men to become involved in this. We need them to talk to their peers, we need them to bring a voice to the table that says 'These crimes are not okay,'" says Teena McBride, Executive Director.
The event is Sept. 19th at 5:15 at the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center.
