POCATELLO, Idaho -- Have you ever wanted to fish but didn't have time to get a license or didn't have the supplies? The Idaho Fish and Game Department can help you with all of that. You don't have to have a fishing license and you can fish for free. The ‘Take Me Fishing’ trailer is on the move this summer throughout southeastern Idaho. The trailer was paid for by federal grants and donations. You don't have to have equipment, just show up at one of the locations where the trailer is this summer, and you can check out equipment to use. If you register at the trailer, you can fish without a license.Best part is, it's free as part of an effort to get people to enjoy the sport of fishing again."This is a great opportunity to reacquaint people who maybe forgot how fun it was to fish, reacquaint them with fishing again, or give them a chance to learn fishing for the first time. This is a great opportunity for kids of all ages to get out and do some fishing,” said Jennifer Jackson, with Idaho Fish and Game.Free fishing weekend is set for Saturday, June 12. The Idaho Fish and Game trailer will be out most Saturdays throughout the summer. For a complete list of times and locations, log on to http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/cms/fish/misc/trailer/schedule.cfm.
